Brand: Lasix
Indication: HTN, HF
SE: hyperuricemia, hypomagnesemia, hypokalemia, tinnitus (ringing in ear)
Monitor: SCr, electrolytes
Clinical Pearls:
-Don’t go over recommended dose (causes hearing loss)
-Will urinate more frequently, stay near a restroom
-drink plenty of water, will dehydrate easily
-Monitor BP
-Keep using even if you feel well (BP is symptomless)
-store away from any moisture, heat, or light
