5 days ceftriaxone (extend course if not recovered)
Stop dexamethasone
What is the management for confirmed pneumococcal meningitis?
10 days ceftriaxone (extend course if not responding)
4 days dexamethasone
What is the management for confirmed penicillin/cephalosporin resistant pneumococcal meningitis?
14 days ceftriaxone and vancomycin
4 days dexamethasone
What is the management for confirmed listeria meningitis?
21 days amoxicillin

Ciprofloxacin preferred as only need one dose
