Many museums and historical sites are mainly visited by tourists but not local people. Why is this the case and what can be done to attract more local people to visit these places?

Introduction:

  • There are a number of factors that explain why many museums and historical places fail to attract the attention of local people.
  • This issue can be resolved by adopting a number of solutions, as now be discussed.

- There are two mains reasons why local people are not interested in visiting historical places.
+ People tend not to be attracted by place & object that are familiar to their culture. &laquo_space;Example HCM vs Hanoi.
+ Historial sites are often poor conserved due to a low budget and the authorities do not make an attempt to improve the situation.

  • There are several solution that can be taken to tackle the situation.
    + Government should run a campaign to encourage local people to visit historical places.
    + They could consider rearranging + redecorating these historical sites to make them look more attractive.
    + Can be done by allocate more public money to the conversation of these places.
