Fleets enema-small volume
—medication that helps to relive constipation and promotes bowel movements
Tap water enema
-large volume-this is when larger volumes of water get placed into the rectum, causing the bowel movements to happen.
Retention enema
- this is oil that goes into the stool, allowing for the stool to be more slippery and pass the body easier.
Occult blood
- blood gets into the stool from the digestive system

this is testing for any blood that may be inside of stools that you can’t see, and helps detect cancer

surgical procedure, this allows for the edge of the large intestine to be placed in abdominal wall, allowing stools to move easier.
Ileostomy
- this Is when the ileum of the small intestine is brought through the abdominal wall, allowing for stools to pass easier
