Prepared monthly reports tailoring for specific audiences such as funders, tenants, client.

For client: Detailed update
For funder: broad overview and focus on contracts, programme, cost
For tenant: broad overview and focus on relevant common parts and their demise.
Examples of level 2 health and safety
Responsible for a weekly flash report covering site progress, performance and H&S.
Noticed an operative working in unsafe manner during site inspection. (flashing angles at high level on narrow terrace, no restraint present)
Notified construction manager, RAMS checked. Toolbox talks held to ensure this did not happen again.
Example of level 2 project brief
Ensure project brief is reviewed at each project stage.
Led optioneering studies to repurpose built assets in response to client brief and budget.

Production of strategic brief for commercial office at RIBA stage 0
Project brief updated at RIBA stages 1-3
At RIBA 4 developed into base building definition used for contract

Example of level 2 contract practice
Advised the clients on the need to ISSUEproperly considered PAYMENT CERTIFICATES in line with contract timescales.
Used sectional completions in building contracts. Have OVERSEEN SECTIONAL COMPLETION process under a JCT.
OBTAINED PCG due to poor financial strength of UK entity of a glazing specialist. Got a link back to EU parent company who would cover in event of default.
Example of level 3 contract practice
Advised clients on PROCUREMENT STRATEGY. For commercial office development, ADVISED CLIENT TO PURSUE D&B form due to requirement to get BASE BUILD project on market as soon as possible.
Advised same client to pursue a TRADITIONAL FORM for the FITOUT works as the tenant wanted a greater level of control of design and we had time to prepare this prior to works commencing on site for fitout.
Example of level 2 construction technology
Reviewing proposed construction methodologies with the project team.
Familiarity with different systems.
Involvement with cut and carve schemes where existing structure has been retained.
Example of level 2 procurement and tendering
Completing proper due diligence on contractor selection / tenderers.
I have been involved in tender document preperation such as ITT, tender invitations and project protocols.
I have completed procurement strategy documents.
Example of level 3 procurement and tendering
Structural alterations package at the Ritz. Proposed shortlist by CM did not have heritage experience (Grade II* element of work). Drawing on individual and organisational experience identified two contractors, who had relevant expertise.
Neccessary due dilligence carried out, contractors included. One of whom subsequently proved to be the most competent and won the work.
Example of level 2 project finance
Review and advise on cost reports in line with QS - specifically how we may deal with issues not the financials themselves.
I have prepared procurement strategies in line with QS to outline recommended financial provisions for the routes available.
I have created and maintained project cash flows including all expenditure across project.
Example of level 2 programming and planning
Reviewing alternative construction and sequencing techniques in line with team to advise client on best option.
Example of this would be a prefabricated mansard roof over traditional stick system method.
On occasion it was discounted (prefab) as would have had detrimental effect to the NIA but would have offered programme benefits.
Example of level 3 programming and planning
weekly client report for programme. Included dropline, photographs and use of KPI metrics.
During superstructure / cladding installation it was identified panel install was behind schedule.
In consultation with main contractor I identified best options to recover delay.
Recommendation was to apply to local authority for extended working hours. allowed intro of dedicated hook time allowing additional 2 panels per day.
Eventually programme delay was recovered.

Lead on selection of professional team members.
Corrective measures for team members who are not performing to required standards.
