The methods of which and organisation judges the extent of which their human resources are working effectively
What is labour turnover
The proportion of the workforce who leave an organisation over a period of time
Formula = Number of staff leaving/ average number of staff X 100

Interpretation OF LABOUR TURNOVER
Interpretation:
The higher the percentage the more staff left the organisation
An increasing level of staff turnover is normally a concern (usually a sign of demotivation, and employees not being satisfied)
Some labour turnover may be considered positive as it means bringing in new ideas and talent

Labour retention (the opposite to labour turnover - how long you can keep staff)
The proportion of the workforce who remain employed by an organisation after a period of time
