What are employee relations
Employee relations is the extent to which there is a positive working relationship between the management of a business and its employees.

Also referred to as ‘industrial relations’.
What are ways that you can improve employee relations
Use of financial and non - financial motivators
Recognition of trade unions/ work councils where they’re appropriate - to make sure employees feel suitably engaged
Leadership style (Kouzes and Posner) - One of the most effective ways to lead a team is via the DWYSYWD method, which stand for ‘Do what you say you will do’ - Basically don’t say to your team that you’re going to do something and not end up doing (also it makes you look like a little bitch)
Organisational structure - Is it a tall structure where employees are overseen throughout their work, and micro managed, or is their a flat structure where employees are given more room to complete the tasks their own way (as long as it’s still effective, and not too much different to the methods given to them). Keep in mind that flat structures won’t work in all organisations, as some employees take the piss, and some may prefer having a manager in place to help them out, and oversee their work.
