Q

Animals

A

There are 5-10 million different species

They are multicellular (which means they are made up of loads of cells)

Heterotrophs animals get their energy from other organisms

Sexually reproduce

Plants

A

300,000 species
They are multicellular
And they are autotrophs (they get their energy from the sun)

Q

Fungi

A

They can be multicellular or unicellular
Fungi can’t photosynthesis they are saprotrophs (which they secrete digestive enzymes onto some food outside of their body then wait for them to break down then absorb all nutrients)

Multicellular have mycelium which is hyphae together

Some fungi can be consider pathogens (which means they can cause diseases)

Q

Protoctisist

A

They are unicellular (some have chloroplasts such as chlorella and euglena)

Some protocticists are pathogens like plasmodium which causes malaria

Q

Bacteria

A

They are unicellular organisms which live everywhere
Some species can photosynthesis
Most feed off other organisms
(Bacteria examples salmonella)

Q

Viruses

A

Super tiny particles (they don’t count as cells but there not counted as living)

They have a protein coat and DNA and RNA

They can only reproduce inside living cells

They are parasites (depend on organisms to grow and reproduce)

Example
Influenza virus
HIV
Covid-19
