A
childhood onset may improve at puberty. affects 40% of those with AD and 75% of those with ichthyosis vulgaris

inherited condition

clinical features
A
keratotic follicular based papules with rim of erythema, upper arms and lateral cheeks/ Patho: hyperkeratosis

tx
A
cool baths, mild soaps, amlactin, salicylic acid, urea – helps to modulate skin keratinization. 10% Lactid acid works quickest

Q
recalcitrant tx
A
topical retinoids, low potency steroid if a lot of erythema daily x 2 weeks
