Q

Phagocytosis

A

-WBC receptors recognise pathogen as foreign when pathogen interacts with phagocyte
-phagocyte engulfs pathogen
-lysosome digests pathogen
-pathogen breaks down into proteins and other molecules
-major histocompatibility complex binds to the membrane of the phagocyte to form an antigen presenting cell
