Atlas (C1)
This vertebrae does not have a body, lamina or pedicle. Instead it forms an incomplete ring that in formed by an anterior and posterior arch which is accompanied by a tubercle.
The posterior surface of the anterior arch contains a facet (dental fovea for articulation with the odontoid process)
Transverse foramina which acts as a passageway for the vertebral artery/vein.
Concavity of the lateral masses.
Vertebral notch, posterior to the lateral masses.

Convert the greater and lesser sciatic notches into the greater and lesser sciatic foramina.
