Provide national policy and programming to promote health and prevent disease (ex: government said we will have covid 19 vaccinations for everyone. Up to provinces to lay out)

Provincial jurisdiction responsibility

Own health care insurance (OHIS in Ontario)
Determines location of health services
Determines need for healthcare professionals (who, which, how many)
Manages finances (cut costs, give money to services, etc)
Reimburse physicians and hospitals (ex: reimburse physicians during COVID cuz had no way putting costs associated with meeting someone remotely)
