The use of propaganda and the little red book, students took on authoritarian roles during this period to reinforce the goals of communism as the red guards.

There were poor agricultural techniques were being used and people had no incentive to grow crops

Chinese politician after Mao and reformer of the communist party of China (CCP). He made China’s economy a socialist market economy. He allowed them to do whatever they wanted with the leftover crops
What were the motives that led the students to protest in Tiananmen Square in 1989?
The lack of freedom of speech, press, etc and the desire for democracy
What was the outcome of the Tiananmen square protest?
Deng sent military and tanks, protests were violently put down and thousands died
