List and Define the 5 health related components
cardiovascular endurance (beep test)- efficiency of your heart, lungs, and blood vessels to supply oxygen to your muscles
flexibility (sit & reach)- the range of motion at joints
muscular strength (vertical strength)- ability of muscles to repeat contractions “how much”
Muscular endurance (push ups)- ability of muscles to repeat contractions “how many”
Body composition- % of fat, bone, water, and muscle in human bodies. usually measured in body fat %
List the 6 Skill Related components of fitness.
agility- the ability to change direction and speed quickly and efficiently
balance- ability to maintain equilibrium
power- amount of force a muscle can exert from strength+ speed
reaction time: how quickly your brain responds to a stimulus and initiate a response
speed- ability to move a body part quickly from a point to another
coordination- ability to use your body parts and senses together smoothly and efficiently.
