What will cause a FRV to auto transfer M/A station to manual?

A

Individual M/A Station:
Valve lockup; position signal bad, 10% error between position and demand for 15 seconds, valve in manual bypass

Master: Both individuals in manual or ALL 3 LEvel signals bad quality

Setpoint setdown does NOT funtion when MASTER CONTROLLER IN MANUAL
STPT STDN will be exited if Master controller taken to manual

How will adjusting the setpoint on M/A station affect associated FWRV?

A

Ind: Changes outpout to open or close that valve more or less
Master: If setpoint raised, both FRV will open until new level then return to near original position

For the Bailey M/A Station: What is biasing and when is it allowed?

A

Used to change valve position when both FWRV are open in auto. When one valve is biased open, the other will bias closed. Could be used to change a valve position due to packing leakage in certain position.

When verifying operation of Main FWRV prior to in service, how is vavle cycled slowly?

A

Single detent cycling - provides ramp rate of 2% of scale per second

When making adjustments on FWLC controller, which display is used?

A

Digital rather than low res LED bar display. LED display changes only every 3 %

What happens if FRV ind. controller receives lockup signal?

A

Transfers to MANUAL?

A

Loss of output power or loss of control air (65psig)

A

Automatically, by loss of signal to or from controller OR manually by placing controller card toggle switch to MANUAL BYPASS
