What is a Category C fuel/product spill?
Greater than 100 gallons
Who determines and reports the category and amount of spilled fuel/product?
The Incident Commander (IC)
Who does the IC report the spill category and volume to?
GOAA 911 Communications Center (GOAA COMM)
When should workers/passengers be evacuated?
If the IC determines the spill poses a hazard
Can fire suppression agents be applied during a spill?
Yes, if the situation warrants
What zone must the ARFF IC establish during a spill?
A hot zone
What is prohibited in the hot zone during a fuel/product spill?
Motorized equipment and non-essential personnel
When can aircraft be pushed back from a gate after a spill?
Once the spill is mitigated and deemed safe by ARFF
What must remain off during aircraft relocation after a spill?
Engines and APU
Who ensures all fuel/product spills and hazards are cleared before normal ops resume?
ARFF
Who is responsible for cleaning up the spill and disposing absorbents?
The F.B.O/Fueling Agency/Airline that caused the spill
What is GOAA COMM’s responsibility in fuel spill incidents?
Notify GOAA Environmental and other officials for spills over Category A or entering unprotected drains
