What is the purpose of Policy 730.01?
To promote safe operations in the SIDA, AOA, and Sterile areas through access control and security screening
What does SIDA stand for?
Security Identification Display Area
What is included in the SIDA?
Secured Area and possibly other airport areas per the security program
What does AOA stand for?
Air Operations Area
What areas are included in the AOA?
Aircraft movement areas, parking areas, ramps, safety zones, and adjacent unseparated areas
What is the Secured Area?
Where passenger aircraft enplane/deplane and where baggage is sorted/loaded
What is the Sterile Area?
Area beyond TSA screening, up to but not including jetway doors
What is required for access to SIDA/Sterile/AOA?
Access authorization or proper escort
What is required before badge access is granted?
Completion of SIDA/Sterile/Driver training
What happens after successful training completion?
Access authorization is added to the MCO badge
Who must undergo security screening?
All persons and vehicles entering the Secured Area unless exempt
What does entry into the SIDA/Sterile/AOA constitute?
Consent to search body, property, and vehicle
What is prohibited unless pre-approved by the Director of Security?
Deadly or dangerous articles or weapons
How can one be exempt from security screening?
Through Director of Security and CEO approval
What form is required for screening exemption?
Form 730.01.1
What must all MCO badge holders comply with?
Security procedures including escort, display, and challenge requirements
What is the penalty for a 1st security violation?
Badge confiscation and 5-day suspension, retraining, letter to employer
What is the penalty for a 2nd security violation?
10-day suspension, retraining, and potential permanent revocation
What is the penalty for a 3rd violation within 5 years?
Permanent badge revocation
Who approves all deviations from standard penalties?
Director of Security, Chief of Operations, and Chief Executive Officer
