Ingredients:
Da Huang (30g), Chai Hu (15g), Dang Gui (9g), Tao Ren (9g), Hong Hua (6g), Chuan Shan Jia (6g), Tian hua Fen (9g), Gan Cao (6g), Jiu
Function:
Invigorates the blood, dispels blood stasis, soothes LV qi, and opens collaterals
Physical traumatic injury syndrome
Excruciating pain with traumatic injury, especially in the chest, hypochondria or flanks.

Clinical applications:
1. This formula is used in treating the trauma syndrome with severe hypochondriac pain with bruising and swelling
2. Used for traumatic injury, intercostals neuralgia, costal chondritis, and acute lower back spain
Modifications:
Severe qi stagnation -> add Mu Xiang, Xiang Fu, Qing Pi, Zhi Ke
Severe blood stasis -> add San Qi powdre, Ru Xiang, Mo Yao

Xue Jie (30g), Hong Hua (4.5g), Ru Xiang (4.5g), Mo Yao (4.5g), She Xiang (0.36g), Bing Pian (0.36g), Er Cha (7.5g), Zhu Sha (3.6g)
Functions:
Internal use - invigorates blood, dispels blood stasis, alleviates pain, stops bleeding
External use - stops bleeding and generate new tissue
Indication:
Physical traumatic injury syndrome
Bruising, swelling and pain accompanying traumatic injuries such s broken bones or torn sinews, and bleeding due to lacerations; also used for burns and scald
Clinical applications:
1. treats interior and exterior trauma and can be applied internally or externally.
2. Internal use: take 1-2g with warm wine
External use: dosage depend on size of wound, mixed the powder with warm rice or dry powder on fresh wounds.
3. Currently used for traumatic injury due to falls, fractures, contusions, strains, lacerations or burns

Functions:

Indications:
(Traumatic) pain caused by qi and blood stagnation syndrome
Pain in various locations such as the heart, stomach, abdomen, back, leg, or arm, bruising and swelling due to traumatic injury, fixed abdominal masses, or internal or external ulceration
Tongue: dark with stasis spots
Pulse: wiry or rough
Clinical applications:
1. Used in either fixed abdominal masses due to blood stasis, or pain due to blood fails to flow freely through the collaterals.
2. Used for angina pectoris, ectopic pregnancy, cerebral thrombosis, sciatica, restless leg syndrome, and traumatic injury.
