Q

Projectiles

A

Lower mass sees AR be dominant and not weight causing non parabolic flight path

Higher mass sees weight be the dominant force and AR not seeing a parabolic flight path

Q

Bernoulli

A

Air that travels further and faster = low pressure

Air that travels lower distances sees slower pace = higher pressure

Javelin experiences = lift force and extends the horizontal distance

Q

Downforce

A

Sporting designs ensure downforce is created :
Rear wings - turn corners at higher speed
Cycling position- increased friction allowing for higher speeds around corners

Air travelling over has less distance to travel and therefore will travel slower creating higher pressure

Air travelling under will have further to travel causing faster moving air at lower pressure

This causes downforce
