Feedback:
> All of the information in its various forms that a performer receives as a result of movement
Extrinsic feedback:
> Information received from an outside source (coach, fans, team) about performance
> cognitive learners - do not have enough experience to correct themself
Intrinsic feedback:
> Feedback coming from the performer themself (kinaesthetic)
> autonomous learners - have enough experience to identify mistakes and correct them
Continuous feedback: (concurrent)
> Feedback received during performance (intrinsic or extrinsic)
> shouting from sidelines
hitting sweet spot of tennis ball
Terminal feedback:
> Feedback received after a performance (half-time etc)
> extrinsic/footage
KR (knowledge of results):
> Information provided after the completion of a skill, that is related to the result or outcome
> visual
sometimes verbal (swimming)
KP (knowledge of performance):
> Information about how the skill was performed in relation to how the result came about
> intrinsic for autonomous learners (kinaesthetic awareness)
corrections given extrinsically for cognitive learners
