Flight not listed in the FirstFlight application?

A

If the flight to be operated cannot be accessed through the FirstFlight application, crew are to contact Maintenance Watch and Fleet Technical to obtain the Total Air Time and Cycles; and the previous fuel respectively, should they not already have this information.
Crew are to record the flights that cannot be entered into the FirstFlight application into the paper QL-2 sheet (see section 7.1.5 of this manual).
In the event that the paper QL-2 form has been used, crew are to take an image of the entire paper form after each flight and send it to qflairworthinessefax@qantas.com.au. The subject line
of the email is to be in the following format [registration of the aircraft] + [Date of Flight] + [Flight Number] + [Departure Airport]. For example, flight 2004 ex SYD operating on VH-LQB on the
22nd of July will have the subject line “LQB 22/07/18 2004 SYD”

Aircraft Cycles and Total Air Time outdated?

A

The aircraft cycles and total air time data is retrieved from the TRAX database. If the information is greater than 24 hours out of date, crew are to contact Maintenance Watch to receive the latest aircraft information available.

Aircraft Change after refuelling?

A

In the event the aircraft has been refuelled and a subsequent aircraft change occurs, crew are to complete the fuel reconciliation via the paper QL-2 form as the electronic QL-2 will not be submitted. Fields that need to be completed are:
• Date
• Flight Number
• Fuel at Start
• Fuel Added (in Litres)
• Shutdown Fuel
A comment should also be added to provide a reason why the aircraft was refuelled without subsequently flying. Please see the example given below: “Late Aircraft change”

Unable to submit electronic QL-2?

A

If the electronic QL-2 form for a flight is unable to be submitted prior to leaving the aircraft, crew are to record the flight details into the paper QL-2 form. A clear and legible photo of the paper QL-2 form is to be taken and sent to qflairworthinessesfax@qantas.com.au.

Incorrect data submission QL-2?

A

If the event that a QL-2 form is submitted with incorrect data, crew are to advise to relevant department of the erroneous data. The table below lists the department that is to be advised based on which field was incorrectly recorded. Find in FDEM
