-usefal for games players(pace changes)
No specialist equipment
(meaning it’s useful for beginners)
Improve muscular and cardiovascular endurance, aerobic and anaerobic fitness

Hard for coach to monitor individual performance
Athlete requires lots of motivation
Dependent on good weather
Demanding on legs
-difficult to apply overload principle
