  • assume that both parties will show remorse when participating. Especially with victims, as offenders are motivated to participate by a shorter sentence or rewards. Survivors also may want revenge.

Domestic Abuse Cases. RJ doesn’t place offender and victim on equal power balance, as victim will seem accusatory of offender. Limited utility as blame is not adequately placed on offender.
