to carry nutrients, bugs, and drugs absorbed from the gut into the liver to detoxify/modify

via the lingual veins
How do drugs that get swallowed enter the circulatory system?
they get absorbed through the gut, filtered through the liver and into the venous system

the union of the gastroduodenal vein, splenic vein, the cranial and caudal mesenteric veins

Where does the hepatic artery open into?
the hepatic porta

the central vein

the union of multiple central veins

the caudal vena cava from the dorsal border of the liver

the union of the two external and internal iliac veins and the median/mid sacral vein

deep circumflex iliac vein, lumbar veins, right testicular/ovarian vein, renal veins, cranial abdominal vein, hepatic veins
