what is ASA?

A

This is an organisation that monitors all advertising in the UK. The ASA investigates any complaints made by the public and if an adverts is found to be offensive, untruthful, misleading, or harmful, the ASA can request the advertiser to remove or amend the advert.

A

This is a government agency which ensures all UK TC and radio programs follow the rules of the broadcasting code. They examine complaints and can demand that apologies are made to the public if they have been harmed of offended by publicised materials.
