How did exploration make England wealthier?

A
  • raiding Spanish ships and ports
  • trade - with the east for spices and silk etc
  • new companies were created to deal with trade for example, the east India company
  • people copied John Hawkins and made lots of money from slaves - which also meant raw materials could be produced more cheaply
