What is streaming?
When someone is put in to the same set for each subject
What is setting?
Putting people in to a set of ability level for only that one subject

All children now had access to exams
What was a negative result of trying to make education for everyone more equal?
The standards of education dropped
Why did the standards of education drop in terms of with punishments which were allowed?
Teachers were no longer able to physically punish students which meant they were more prone to misbehaving and not getting as bad of a punishment
Why did the standards of education drop in terms of balancing dealing with poor behaviour and teaching?
The teacher ended up having more of a focus on regulating behaviour rather than teaching in many cases
What was a disadvantage of comprehensive schools for intelligent working class individuals?
They had no chance of getting in to a grammar school and getting a higher level education and possibly moving up a class
What was a negative impact for working class pupils even when in the Comprehensive system?
They were more likely to be put in lower sets
