What is the Drager X-am 2500?
The Drager X-am 2500 is a 4-in-1 gas detection device. It accurately detects O2, LEL, CO, and H2S. Firefighters should be using the portable gas monitor on ALL medical and investigation calls to determine if the atmosphere is safe. The Drager monitor helps to determine if odorless and colorless gases are producing and IDLH environment.
How is the device turned on? (gas monitor)
Hold down the OK button for three seconds.

Where is the only place the Drager X-am 2500 device can be charged?
The device can only be charged on the vehicle mounted charging dock. Not in the bump test station.

A1 (Low Alarm) alarm sounds if the concentration amount is higher than normal, but does not constitute an acute hazard. Audible, visual and vibration alarms activate and repeat. Can these alarms be silenced?
Yes, to acknowledge/silence the alarm, press OK once.
A2 (High Alarm) signals danger of death and leave the area immediately. Can this alarm be silenced?
No. This alarm will continue until air quality improves below the high alarm.
How is the Drager X-am 2500 calibrated?
Step 1: Press the blue +M button three times and select fresh air calibration.
Step 2: Press OKon button to activate fresh air calibration.
Step 3: Press OKon and display will show OK for all sensors. The Drager is now recalibrated; all values set to zero.
How are the peaks cleared on the Drager X-am 2500?
Step 1: Press the +M button three times.
Step 2: Press the +M button to select the “Peaks Values” icon.
Step 3: Press OKon button to display logged peak readings.
Step 4: Press and hold OKon for five seconds to clear all sensor’s peak readings.
