Dimensions Of ABA Flashcards
Conceptually systematic
Procedures for changing behavior should be written in behavior analytic terms
Technological
All procedures are identified and described with sufficient detail. Can be replicated
Analytic
Involves identifying a functional relationship between behavior and environmental events
Effective
Clinically significant effects provide a meaningful difference.
Cost effective
Efficient
Generality
Effective results of procedures implemented across settings, individuals, and procedural variations
History
What goes on during an experiment that could effect the outcome
Dependent variable
Measurement of the outcome or behavior to be changed
Baseline
Consist of what is going on prior to a planned intervention. Could be no intervention or an inneffective intervention
Threats to internal validity
Maturation, setting confounds, testing, procedural treatment integrity, loss of subjects, multiple intervention interference, instability, intervening when behavior changes (coincidence), instrumentation
Independent variable
Behavior change procedure or set of procedures
