Reward amount is appropriate for the task
Disadvantages of contracts
Cannot be used with individuals who do not have requisite cognitive skills
Imbalance of authority may compromise the contractee’s sense of ownership
Research does not exist to support contingency contracts over imposed contingencies
Contingency contracting or behavioral contracting
Refers to either the negotiated goals and procedures of a behavior analysis program or to a document that specifies a contingent relationship between the completion of a specified behavior and a specified reward. Participants actually sign the contract
