Concern for Cafe au Lait spots
Neurofibromatosis if present in groin or axilla

Asymmetry, Border irregularity, Color variation, Diameter > 6mm (pencil eraser), Evolution (growing)
When to biopsy skin
precancerous suspicion; lesion grows, bleeds, or ulcerates; unsure diagnosis
Precancerous lesion that leads to SCC or BCC
Actinic Keratoses
Most common pathogens for cellulitis
Staph aureus and strep pyrogens
Common pathogen for dog/cat bites
Pasturella
Causes of contact dermatitis
allergens and irritants
untreated HIV infection causing red/purple patch that evolves to nodules and plaques.
Kaposi Sarcoma
Stevens-Johnson Syndrome
(AKA Erythema multiforme major)
Must have systemic toxiticity and involvement of two mucosal surfaces (oral, anal, urethral)
Circular erythematous rashes systemically
Caused by Sulfas, NSAIDs, and anticonvulsants
Care: supportive, vent managment if oral mucosal involvement, and pain management
