What are the hallmark features of FTD?
Prominent early symptoms include progressive coarsening of personality, social behaviour, self-regulation (of emotions, drives, and behaviour), and language
typically appear in mid-life,
What are the hallmark features of AD?
insidious onset and progressive but slow decline, hallmark symptoms are memory loss, impairment of daily activities, and neurobehavioural abnormalities
What are the hallmark features of VD?
The executive functions of the brain such as planning are more prominently affected than memory. Motor and mood changes are often seen early.
What are DDx for each dementia?
-they are all DDx for each other plus
-DLB: Parkinsons, Prion disorders
-FTD: Bipolar, OCD, hyperthyroidism, brain tumour
