What is quantitative data?
contains factual information and numerical values
What is qualitative data?
is subjective, as it looks at feelings, opinions and emotions
What does quantitative data compare to?
Quantitative analysis compares the scores to other people or standardised tables
What does qualitative do?
Qualitative analysis makes judgement on these scores
What is objective data?
based upon facts and is measurable
What is subjective data?
based upon personal opinions, assumptions, interpretations and beliefs
What is validity?
It ensures that the test is valid and set up in such a way to produce reliable results
What questions should be asked to assess the validity of a fitness test?

What is reliability?
It means that a test produces results that are consistent and can be repeated with the same outcome
To ensure a test is reliable what considerations should be taken into account?
. Tester must be experienced
. Equipment must be standardised
. Sequencing of tests is important
. Repetition of test should be possible to avoid human error
