  1. Motor: muscles of mastication, elevation of hyoid and larynx
  2. Sensory: face sensation (cheek, chin, forehead)
    - Position of bolus in mouth

  1. Motor: facial expression muscles, shape and motion of lips
  2. Sensory: taste in anterior 2/3 of tongue
    - Face/oral cavity sensation
    - Salivary gland stimulation

  1. Motor: intrinsic laryngeal muscles, velopharyngeal closure, esophageal constriction. Composed of superior laryngeal and recurrent laryngeal
  2. Sensory: Food residue in larynx, pharynx and esophagus
