the clip, click the Clip Appearance button at the bottom right of the Event Browser and

Press I to set the range Start point. Now play the clip again and stop playback just after the actor delivers his line, closes his mouth, and the camera stops zooming in. Press O to set the range End point. Now press _ to append the clip to the primary storyline.

Now press E to append the clip to the primary storyline. In the Timeline, press _____ _ to fit the clip to the window, then if necessary, use the Clip Appearance pop-up at the bottom right to set the clip height and view both the video thumbnails and the audio waveform.
