Communication
Is the transmission of messages from sender to a receiver
One ways communication
Is when a message is sent but no reply good for giving information
Two way communication
When the person receiving the message can respond to sender it allows feedback and other makes sure the message is understood good for generating ideas
Internal communications
Between Poole who work in the same business can be vertical or horizontal
Horizontal communication
To people on the same level in the structure communicate
Vertical communication
Communication between to different layers of a business could be up or downwards
External communication
Between a business in the business and someone out of the organisation
Formal communication
Takes place via official channels e.g letters meetings and reports
Informal communication
Takes place outside of the official channels e.g canteens or social events
Verbal communication phone
Phone two way usually used in the business and customers alike
Verbal communication meetings
Formal but can be informal if they have no agenda or chairperson

Video conferencing
Verbal communication presentation
Sometimes two ways
Common in businesses supported with PowerPoint presentation
Speaker explains and present their ideas as well as asking for questions
Written communication letters
Letters handwritten or types and sent electronically
Formal
Recorded for evidence
Can be track so you know it has been sent
Emails text
Used to send general info by the mass
Written communication disadvantages
Some emails ate lost as spam
Some Poole get overwhelmed by many messages
