A

Widespread occurrence of an infectious disease in a community at particular time such as the measles outbreak.

What does it mean by notifiable disease?

A

When a disease is diagnosed the healthcare provider has the legal responsibility to notify the medical health officer about the disease, so it can be monitored and precautions can be placed. Eg. Measles Tuberculosis, COVID-19, Whooping cough

A

Diseases cannot be passed on, can be inherited congenital, and lifestyle. Such as Stroe, Cancer, Diabetes

A

Contact: Direct, Indirect, droplet and vertical (mother to fetus)
Vehicle: Non-living Foodborne (listeriosis) ,airborne (TB,COVID) , waterborne (Cholera).
Vector: Inspects (Malaria)

Two types of infection??

A

Bacterial: TB and Group A streptococcus infection (Droplet and direct)
Viral: Influenza ABC Rep, Viral Hep ABC (DE) inflammation of the liver and the damage to hepacytes.
