andropause
Mid-life changes in a male.
angina
Symptom of inadequate blood flow to the heart that is evidenced by pain in the chest, arm, neck, or a combo.
arteriosclerosis
Hardening of the arteries caused by buildup of plaque, a deposit of fatty substances on the artery lining.
cystitis
Inflammation of the bladder.
dyspnea
Shortness of breath or labored or difficult breathing.
esophagitis
Inflammation that may damage tissues of the esophagus.
glaucoma
Condition caused by increased intraocular pressure due to a buildup of aqueous humor. Results in mild visual disturbances with little to no pain but can lead to severe visual impairment if untreated.
hyperthermia
Fever; body temperature above normal range.
hypothermia
Dangerous cold-related condition that can result in death if the individual does not receive care and if the progression of hypothermia is not reversed. Symptoms: Shivering, cold skin, confusion.
macular degeneration
degeneration of macula area of retina caused by aging; leading cause of visual impairment in people older than 50, making it difficult to find work.
menopause

osteoporosis
thinning of long bones, pelvic bones, and vertebrae.
pernicious anemia
chronic anemia caused by lack of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. Weakness, fatigue, tingling of extremities, and even heart failure can result. Vitamin B12 injections are the treatment for this condition.
presbycusis
progressive loss of hearing caused by normal aging process.
