What is a road user?
Anyone using a public road.
Pedestrians and drivers of vehicles.
When is the pedestrian obliged to use the zebra?
When there is one within 20 meters, the pedestrian must use it.
What are the signs for a zebra crossing for pedestrians?
There are two.
The red danger sign is located 150m in front of the crossing.
And the blue information sign, placed at the crossing.
What are the three important things to remember about zebra crossing for pedestrians?
Priority: pedestrians have the right to cross, and stopping is mandatory.
Overtaking: forbidden in the proximity of a zebra crossing.
Waiting and parking: you can not wait/park 5m ahead of a zebra crossing, to allow the coming cars to see if someone wants to cross.
What happens if there is no zebra crossing?
Still, the pedestrian has the priority to cross… You should stop for it.
What is a pedestrian zone?
Areas where pedestrians have the priorities. Some drivers are allowed to drive step by step and leaving free the walking path of pedestrians.
The cyclists can go on the bike at certain times.
What happens with pedestrians disembarking a tram in the middle of a road?
if there is no crossing point or escape hill, the driver must stop to let the pedestrian cross the road.
