What are the lights in a car?
Dipped headlights.
Headlights.
Fog lights.
Sidelights.
When the dipped headlights are on, which others are on?
Also the two sidelights and the rear two red lights.
When the dipped headlights/headlights must be on?
In darkness.
During the day when the visibility is reduced to less than 200m due to rain, fog, snowfall, or smoke.
When are the headlights not allowed?
When you can see 100m ahead.
When you can blind an oncoming car.
When the distance with the in-front car is less than 50m and you are not going to overtake.
When approaching a train vehicle or a vessel.
Are front fog lights mandatory on a car?
No. They are not obligatory but they MAY be used due to rain, fog or snowfall, together or not with the dipped headlights.
Are rear fog lights mandatory?
Yes. A car must have 1 or 2 red fog lights at the back.
This must be switched on when visibility is not possible to less than 100 m due to any reason.
What lights must be switched on when waiting or parking?
When dusk and dawn, or poor visibility AND
When parked on the road or on the verge, 1 or 2 white/yellow lights on the front and 1 or 2 red lights on the back.
When parked and poor visibility?
The dipped headlights are allowed to be switched on, but it is not mandatory.
What lights must be used when parked in a built-up area?
The parking lights when lengthways on the road.
But only the parking light on the side of the road may be used.
When can the warning lights can be used?
Only when the car is broken down, to warn other drivers or a scholar bus.
NEVER use it for double parking.
What lights must be used on a tunnel?
Mandatory to turn on the dipped headlights (Whenever the visibility is reduced to less than 200m).
When there is smoke you must park the car in the right lane, leave the key and run.
Can the car horn be used at any time?
During daylight to warn a driver to take over or prevent an accident.
During the night, ONLY in eminent danger.
