Executive agreements are written understandings with another head of state to carry out a particular section. They underscore the independence that the president has in implementing foreign policy. It can be used to end wars and create peace as it did in North Vietnam with President Richard Nixon.

The position of First Lady come with great responsibility and with great power. Her primary responsibility since the time of Martha Washington has been to receive and entertain the president’s guests. The duties have increased over the years as she now acts as a representative of the president or the nation, answering tons of mail, and undertakes special projects of the White House.

The President of the United States is often tempted to use his powers illegally or immorally. There is also the constant attention of the public he attracts by holding the most powerful position in the country. Great presidents are clear about their goals and have retained self-confidence about their objectives that was unshaken by popular opinion. Most importantly, they have a strong desire to serve their country and its people.
