Designed a flat bottomed steamboat for shallow waters.

An artificial channel filled with water that allows a boat to go across land.
Erie Canal
Allowed farmers to ship goods to the port of New York. Made by Dewitt Clinton.
James Hargreaves
Made the spinnig. Jenny
Richard Arkwright
Made the water frame. Could hold 100 spindles of thread. Required water power to run.
Turnpikes
A road that a private company made and put tolls on it to pay for it.
