A

Tecumsehs brother. A Shawnee leader. The spiritual man of the tribes that joined up to make a confederation or league. Said that the white mans ways destroyed the old ways of the Indians and they needed to return to the old ways.

A

Governor of the Indiana territory. Was the leader at the battle of Tippecanoe.

The battle of Tippecanoe

A

Henry Harrison and 1,000 men went to where all the league was sleeping. The prophet led a surprise attack on Harrison’s troop at night. Neither side won a clear victory but the white settlers celebrated the victory.

A

Members of congress from the south and west. People who wanted war. They wanted to gain things from the war. 1) to seize Canada. Or get more land. 2) to take Florida from Spain, Britain’s ally. 3) to take revenge on Britain for seizing American ships. 4) to show American strength. 5) to end British and to the Native Americans. They were nationalists. Led by Henry clay.
