What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if people claim to have faith but have no deeds? Can such faith save them?
James 2:14
Jesus told this parable: “ There was a man who had two sons. He went to the rst and said, ‘Son, go and work today in the vineyard.’ ‘I will not,’ he answered, but later he changed his mind and went. When the father went to the other son and said the same thing. He answered, ‘I will, sir,’ but he did not go.” Jesus then asked: “Which of the two did what his father wanted?”
Matthew 21:28-31
So I and this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!
