What does the mandibular branch control?
The four muscle mastication
What is the facial nerve?
The seventh cranial nerve
Extraocular muscle
Muscles outside the eye
- Direction
Intraocular muscle
Muscle inside the eye
- Controls pupil
What are the four rectus?
Superior, medial, inferior, lateral
What are the two obliques of the eye?
Superior, oblique, inferior oblique
What does the superior oblique do?
Depresses down and out
What does the inferior oblique do?
Elevate and abduct
SO4 LR6 AL3
SO4: 4 CN = trochlear nerve
LR6: 6 CN= abducen nerve
AL3: 3 CN = oculomotor nerve
Sternocleidomastoid
Move to opposite side of neck
Scalene
Flex, laterally Flex, and rotate neck
Diaphragm
Dome shape, major movement of inspiration
External intercostals
Elevate ribs during inspiration
- Inhale
Internal intercostals
Deeper layer and depresses ribs
