State the definition for above the line promotion
Promotion where there is no direct contact with the potential customer

One advantage is they can provide a powerful media due to be able to display visual and sound effects
One disadvantage is there is limited interaction with the advert

Disadvantage- people may choose to just ignore it

Promotion method where the business can directly contact the potential customers
Outline one context where free samples would work as a method of promotion
With health and beauty products as then they can try them and see how they look on there own body

It isn’t free as it still takes time for someone to run it and they have to be paid

Advantage- it has the prime target audience
Disadvantage- a lot of people go to look so it can just be a waist of time due to lost of questions
