State what is meant by selection
the action or fact of carefully choosing someone or something as being the best or most suitable.
Identify one advantage and one disadvantage of accepting cvs as a shortlisting
Advantage- it is very easy to compeer all the information in one place
Disadvantage- not everyone will complete the cv the same

The application forms cover all of what the business wants to know

Disadvantage- and employer can’t give a bad reference although they can hint at it

Advantage- it allows the potential employee to get a true idea of what working there would be like
Disadvantage- it takes time to do it therefor costing money for someone who isn’t a definite future employee
