State what is meant by a grievance
A grievance exists as a concern, complaint or problem.
Identify two reasons that a employee may raise a grievance
Someone is using foul language

Explain the role of employment tribunals in resolving a grievance
If it cannot be settled within the business then it can be taken to tribunal where they look at all the evidence and ,and a final overall judgement
Explain the role of ACAS in resolving a grievance
They give advice and money funding in the time of need to help the employees
Outline the difference between fair and unfair dismissal
Fair has reason and warnings, gone through the correct process
Unfair has little reason and not gone through process
Define the key term whistleblowing
It defends the employee reporting something against any reproductions if they deem that what they are reporting is correct

Define the key term redundancy
An employee isn’t made redundant for anything they have done it is when the job isn’t available anymore so they are no longer required.

Statutory illegality or breach of a statutory restriction

Outline the process for dismissal
Investigate the issues.
Inform the employee of the issues in writing.
Conduct a disciplinary hearing or meeting with the employee.
Inform the employee of the decision in writing.
