What do we look for?

What is peau d’orange?
Skin that looks like an orange! Is pitted and is..orange!
Boob Symmetry - rounded and slightly ___.
Asymmetric. Abnormal would be if they were totally different!
Normal breast color is …
uniform in color, smooth and intact, with some striae.
Abnormal coloring is …

Parallel lines, concentric circles, and a wheel/wedge pattern.
Lymph Nodes felt for breast palpation -
Axillary - Anterior, Central, posterior, Lateral
Supraclavicular, Infraclavicular.
What are some questions for the subjective assessment of Female Genitalia?
Uterine bleeding, meanstrual history, age at menarche, medications, BC, vaginal discharge (douching habits), urinary symptoms, pelvic pain, sexual activity, reproductive history, STD history, kids (what kind of births), etc.
What are some warning signs of Sexually Transmitted Diseases?
Pain or burning on urination, pain in pelvic area, bleeding between periods, itchy rash around vagina, vaginal discharge with fishy or foul odor.
We will inspect the external genitalia, inspect and palpate bladder area, and palpate the inguinal nodes. T/F?
