Describe what happens in beta-oxidation

A

Triglyceride broken down into 3x fatty acids + glycerol
1st FA activated to FA-CoA, by CoA
Performs 1 cycle of beta-oxidation = 2nd C lost = acetyl-CoA
Acetyl-CoA enters krebs cycle
Same happens to 2nd FA till all Cs used up
